Human Rights and International Justice Lab

Explore, Learn,
and Understand Human Rights in Canada and Internationally

The Human Rights and International Justice Lab aims to structure the work of the Canada Research Chair in Human Rights and International Reparative Justice and facilitate the sharing of research findings with its users. It primarily comprises of research projects on human rights and international justice and includes a digital platform specializing in the comparative analysis of laws, regulations, and leading decisions related to human rights. This significant project, developed in partnership with the Centre d’expertise numérique pour la recherche (CEN-R or Digital Research Expertise Centre) at Université de Montréal, is supported by a grant from the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) through the John R. Evans Leaders Fund, and a second grant from the Government of Quebec for the creation of its digital research infrastructure.

Our online platform compiles the most influential court decisions on human rights in Canada.

Dialogue on
Human Rights

This project aims to promote public understanding of the state of human rights in Canada through online and in-person outreach.
